I created this blog as a communication vehicle to share what my life looks like after a spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the sternum down. On April 21, 2025, I went on a trail ride with Dexter and ended up in the hospital having surgery for 7 hours on my neck and back. The version of Shelley who was for 48 years, died that day. The new version of Shelley is who I am today. Join me on my journey.
